 Online Program

The Fitflow Yoga Foundation Level Teacher Training Program is thoughtfully designed to help you learn yoga holistically, primarily for personal growth. You will develop your own yoga practice and gain the foundational skills to teach Vinyasa/Flow-style yoga classes with confidence.

The program, ONLINE  offers the flexibility to join as an online  participant 

PROGRAM DETAILS

  • Planned Training Dates: Groups consist of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15 participants.
  • Included Materials: Homework assignments, a final project, and a training booklet.
  • The program concludes with an oral exam.

Certification: Participants who complete the program in its entirety will receive the Fitflowyoga Online 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Certified RYT200 Certificate.

COURSE CONTENT

Foundations of Topics Covered:

  • Myology: Understanding skeletal muscles, their functions, and their impact on movement and body fluid dynamics, including the workings of smooth and cardiac muscles.
  • Osteology: Study of bones and the skeletal system, including the spinal column, from both structural and energetic perspectives.
  • Other Systems: Exploration of the organic, nervous, and endocrine systems, with a focus on the diaphragm and breathing as preparation for pranayama practice and teaching.

Anatomy and Physiology:

  • A minimum of 20 contact hours dedicated to the principles of anatomy and physiology.
  • Study of asanas, including standing poses, balancing poses, backbends, inversions, seated poses, and restorative postures, along with their modifications, benefits, and contraindications.

Key Practices:

  • Learn foundational pranayama techniques and mudras to understand the connection between breath, body, and mind, and how to energize or relax the nervous system.
  • Develop a consistent meditation practice and learn how to teach these steps effectively.
  • Practice and teach pranayama techniques, bandhas (names, locations), and drishti (focus points).
  • Explore how breath, bandhas, and drishti support asana practice.
  • Learn and experience Yoga Nidra, its benefits, and practice sound vibration techniques with OM and other mantras.

Advanced Topics:

  • Study kriya techniques.
  • Master Vinyasa sequencing.
  • Gain proficiency in teaching yoga classes based on the Five Elements framework.
  • Learn teaching methodology, including sequencing, classroom planning, physical adjustments, and guiding multi-level classes.

Yoga Philosophy and Ethics:

  • Study Raja Yoga, the Eight Limbs of Yoga, Yamas, and Niyamas as outlined in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.
  • Gain an introduction to ancient yoga texts and how they guide yoga teaching as a profession.
  • Learn the fundamentals of Sanskrit terms and dedicate 2 contact hours to Yoga Teacher Ethics.

Practicum and Support:

  • Practice teaching, receiving feedback, and learning the art of hands-on adjustments.
  • Participate in 15 non-contact hours for reading, self-study, and assignments.
  • Learn the basics of marketing to support your career as a yoga teacher.

Additional Learning Opportunities:

  • Gain 30 hours of free online mentorship through teaching practice classes, focusing on classroom management.
  • Attend 2 online classes as an observer to learn classroom dynamics firsthand.

 


 

Participation Conditions

  1. Homework:
    Participants are expected to complete all assigned homework without exception.

  2. Preliminary Interview:
    An online video interview is mandatory before joining the program. The student’s discipline, enthusiasm, and compatibility with the group will be assessed during this session.

  3. Attendance:
    Students who fail to attend all required sessions will not qualify for a certificate. Participation or teaching certificates will not be issued to such individuals.

  4. Health Requirements:
    Participants must declare that they are in good physical and mental health to join the training.

  5. Respect for the Instructor:
    Any behavior deemed disrespectful or insulting toward the lead instructor may result in removal from the program. Such individuals will not be eligible for participation or teaching certificates.

  6. Commitment:
    Once the program begins, participants cannot withdraw arbitrarily. Those who choose to leave the program forfeit all their rights willingly.

  7. Physical Intensity:
    This program includes intensive physical practice.

  8. Lifestyle Recommendations:
    While not mandatory, participants are encouraged to follow a vegetarian diet during the program and refrain from smoking, alcohol, or other dependencies.

  9. Liability Waiver:
    In the event of any injury, illness, or fatality, participants and their family or legal representatives waive any claims against the lead instructor. It should be understood that the program involves physical activities.

  10. Acceptance of Terms:
    By registering for the program, participants are considered to have accepted all the terms outlined above.
